Welcome to Beaches Nutrition, home of Louise Perkins, Accredited Practising Dietitian

The modern world is flooded with information telling us how we should eat, think and be.  This is overwhelming for our children as well as for us and this can affect their relationship with food, how we feed ourselves and our families, our food choices and our eating behaviours.

I will work with you to address nutritional needs and concerns with you and your family.  I provide support, guidance and clarity, backed by experience and expertise.

I am committed to working within the non-diet approach, a paradigm that focuses on eating behaviours, food choices, life circumstances, physiological symptoms, skills and knowledge as well as overall capacity and the way in which these factors impact on health and growth outcomes. My approach places your child alongside you and your experiences as whole and complex human beings at the centre of the work we do together.

My particular clincal areas of interest and expertise include Nutrition for Infants, Children and Adolescents including complex feeding and Responsive Feeding Therapy,  Gastroenterological concerns including Coeliac Disease and gut dysmotility, food allergy and intoelrances and Disordered Eating including special interest and experience in Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

I also work with children and older teenagers with eating concerns and disordered eating and welcome clients living with neurodiversity.
